every 20 minutes shuttle busses depart from Qade Solo Project to all other main events and various areas. Free when visiting one of the fairs, cultural organizations, museums.

Recommended in the neighborhood are definitely Haute Photographie (With an entrance ticket from Qade 50% discount) in LP2 next to the Nederlands Fotomuseum in Las Palmas (<50m) and Rotterdam Photo (free entrance) in sea containers on and around the Deliplein (400m) on Katendrecht.


The Wilhelminapier (also called Manhatten by the Maas) and the adjacent katendrecht are full and moving with lots of cultural organizations, restaurants, hotels and nightlife. For example there is the Nederlands Fotomeuseum, LP2, The Luxor Theater en the Lantaren Venster Movie Theater.

RESTAURANTS (a selection)

On the pier you can find next to a lot of cafes and restaurants, including cafe Rotterdam in the cruiseterminal, the famous restaurant Las Palmas owned by Chef Herman den Blijker. (, 010 234 51 22) en HMB in ‘De Rotterdam’. (, 010-760 06 20). Also Ono Japanese Dining (, 010 486 39 62 ) is recommended. Reservations needed for all three!

Then there is the other side on Katendrecht (connected to the pier by a bridge), the Deliplein has several good restaurants: De baas van het Vlees en Kwiezien (both to be found in the michelin guide), others are Bistro du Bac, Daily Bird Thai Kitchen, Kaap, de Fenix Food Factory, de Matroos en het Meisje, Trattoria Bleij, Ceviche y Maas. Plenty of choice! Also making a reservation in advance for these restaurants is recommended…
A little bit further down Katendrecht you can find the fully restored SS Rotterdam, the former flagship of the Holland-America Line. it now includes a hotel and a choice up to 5 restaurants. (
